NEW THIS YEAR!! In keeping with the Country theme of the 2010 Hometown Days Festival, look for Sagebrush, an eight building frontier town that serves as the backdrop for The Cowboys This outstanding group will set up a realistic Western town complete with store fronts and The OK Corral. Several times each day they will perform skits depicting western life. You won't want to miss the shootouts and brawls all done in good fun with a unique morality lesson in each.
This wonderful addition to our festival is made possible by the generous sponsorship and cooperation of the following area churches: Calvary Christian, First Baptist, Grace Bible, Riverdale Baptist, and Swartz Creek United Methodist Men. The churches will also be bringing additional entertainment and activities throughout the weekend in this area. CHECK IT OUT PARTNER!!! Larry Bush Swartz Creek ITT Technical Institute Instructor |

Motorcycles, Wave Runners, All Terrain Vehicles and more can all be found at the GREAT LAKES POWER SPORTS
tent this year! Hometown Days is delighted to welcome this exciting addition to our festival. Details are being worked out and may include a motorcycle run by the brand new cycle group Swartz Creek Star Owners.
I'm sure this is just the first of many updates for the year. I'll try to keep the information flowing a little better so we are up to date. Larry Bush Chairman, Swartz Creek Hometown Days |

With the continued support of SageLink Credit Union it has truly made the Swartz Creek Idol event grow
bigger and better every year. Since the first year Idol began SageLink has stepped up to the plate.
They have contributed sponsorship dollars and also have offered helping hands as well.
This will be the fourth year SageLink has sponsored the contest. We would like to say
Thank you SageLink Credit Union for your dedication to helping our kids I can remember the first year getting the baby contest, the kids games and Swartz Creek Idol contest running, and not knowing if contests are what people would bother with. All I knew was there were not enough events geared towards kids. Even with the help of my friends doing all these things was not easy. But after watching the first idol contestant perform I knew the idol event was priceless. We watch anxious brave, and nervous kids put themselves out there on the stage and sing their hearts out the best they could. But this wasn't the most exciting part. It was either when we saw kids hear applause and what the judges had to say about their performance and their eyes light up or when they exit the stage with a big smile they can't wipe off their face. They might even have a little extra step in their walk. This never gets old. Knowing that this content builds character in the kids in our community is the reason I keep coming back to run it every year. Some kids come back every year with more self esteem and more self confidence then they had the year before. They try to outdo their performance from the year before. Yet still every year we see new faces come to compete. Its true Swartz Creek Idol has no affiliation with American Idol, but you will be surprised to see how much talent is right here in Swartz Creek during Swartz Creek Home Town Days.
